Promoting a holistic radicalization prevention initiative, focusing on the capacity building of frontline staff and organizations.
November 29th and 30th 2017 marked the official beginning of the INTEGRA project with the kick-off meeting held at the University of Toulouse II.
INTEGRA -“Integrated Community, Probation and Prison Services Radicalisation Prevention Approach” – is a project that strives to improve the transition process between prison and/or probation systems and the community for those at risk of radicalization or who have been radicalized.
The INTEGRA project is promoted by Université de Toulouse II – Le Mirail (France) but it will be developed together with an international consortia consisting of IPS_Innovative Prison Systems (Portugal), Università Degli Studi di Brescia (Italy), CSD – Center for the Study of Democracy (Bulgaria), KEMEA – Center for Security Studies (Greece), and ICPA – The International Corrections and Prisons Association.
The correctional administrations (prison and probation) from the respective countries participate in the project as associated partners. Furthermore, the project foresees the direct participation of 850 people, including practitioners from the countries involved in the partnership, academic researchers, mentors, and trainees.
