Forty-seven countries discussed a position document on radicalisation in prisons and the need for preparing staff at different levels.
Pedro das Neves and Tiago Leitão attended EuroPris Conference on “Radicalisation in Prison”, on behalf of IPS_Innovative Prison Systems.
Radicalisation was also the topic of the Council of Europe meeting of prison and probation directors that will take place also in Bucharest from tonight to the 11th June.
The R2PRIS “Radicalisation Prevention in Prisons” project application (promoted by the BSAFE LAB Beira Interior University, involving the Romanian, Belgian and Turkish administrations and also IPS_Innovative Prison Systems, ICPA and EuroPris) has been referred, by Director General Catalin Bejan, as an example of cooperative actions to be taken by prison administrations.
