The sixth EuroPris Conference and Annual General Meeting took place on the 19th of June 2017, in Lillestrøm, Norway, hosted by the Directorate of Norwegian Correctional Service (KDI).
The EuroPris conference focused on an issue that requires special attention within prison settings: Female Prisoners. The conference also included presentations from and discussions with the EuroPris expert groups.
Pedro das Neves, CEO of IPS_Innovative Prison Systems participated in this conference that was open to all interested parties. All the participants received the inaugural issue of the JUSTICE TRENDS, a new printed and digital publication covering correctional matters, and that is produced and published under the responsibility of IPS_Innovative Prison Systems, by a dedicated editorial team led by Pedro das Neves, as Director and Editor-in-Chief of the magazine.
On May 18th, EuroPris and KDI invited the participants to join for a reception and a unique opportunity to view a theatre play performed by Anna-Mari Laulumaa, called by “God is in my typewriter?”. This play has been performed in several female prisons.
The EuroPris event preceded the Council of Europe Annual Conference of Directors of Prison and Probation Services, which took place in Lillestrøm on June 20-21.
