“João Baltasar” JUSTICE TRENDS & IPS Best Research Award 2020

One year after the sudden departure of our dear colleague João Baltasar, we will honor him by attributing an award to graduates or researchers.

Through the award, JUSTICE TRENDS Magazine and IPS Innovative Prison Systems will recognize the merit of M.A., M.Phil., M.B.A. and PhD graduates, practitioners or academic researchers. It will be given to the best thesis or research paper that enters the contest.

Eligible participants will come from a broad pool of areas including arts and humanities, biological and medical sciences, physical sciences and engineering, social and behavioral and educational sciences. The object of the winning publication will be one of the vast issues which are relevant to today’s prisons and probation systems, in order to promote innovation and enhancement in this area.

The awarded author will receive a full event registration to the annual ICPA conference (www.icpa.org), and a 1 year professional membership to ICPA. He or she will see its thesis/paper disseminated through the JUSTICE TRENDS Magazine.
